and loaded with toppings. Enzo's is new to Tucker. We
tried the take-out on a Friday evening, and the parking lot was

We like Northlake
Thai on Montreal at Lavista. Food is elegantly prepared,
presented and served...a fine dining experience that is not terribly

attentive staff. Elegant atmosphere with reasonable dinner prices.

real NY pizza I’ve found anywhere in metro ATL – and they deliver to
our neighborhood! Forget about Domino’s or Papa John’s – this

Shorty's serves much more than
pizza and salads...someone in that kitchen has excellent ideas for
preparing steaks, pork, chicken...interesting variations each time
we've gone. Side Patio-deck is option in nice weather for quieter
dining.

I want to
recommend trying a new spot in the area – at North Hills Shopping
Center (near Big Lots and near Little Cuba restaurant). North Hills
is @ 285 and Chamblee Tucker Road, traveling west toward Mercer
Univ. tahCha Tea House is owned and operated by several
Northlake/Tucker residents. Hours are: 7 am – 11pm M-F, 8 am – 11
pm on Saturdays, and 11 am – 6 pm on Sundays. Offers wonderful
selections of teas, prepares tea and coffee drinks, tasty grilled
Panini sandwiches on Focaccia bread, quiches, salads, lovely
desserts/bakery. Large space with areas for small groups and
children’s reading/quiet play. Community groups are meeting here,
knitting groups, book clubs. Just exactly what is needed in Tucker/EmbryHills/Northlake.
Currently in “soft opening” stage, but I have visited with a number
of friends.
Nice
complement to The Alcove which is also locally owned. (see above

this new restaurant- it opened end of March 2010 –formerly site of
Crescent Moon which had closed (and deserved to!) This is the way
Crescent Moon used to be – familiar menu, quality food, familiar
servers and kitchen staff with different owner. Worth a visit and
deserving support of Northlake and Tucker community. We need to
encourage local businesses to open here and stay open – great place
to meet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 8 AM to 9 PM Mon. thru
Friday and 8 AM to 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday. I found introductory

I can
wholeheartedly recommend NailsAuNaturel. Owner: Tamara Johnson has
done a fine job here in Tucker since 2003, has high standards for
her work focusing on healthy growth and maintenance of the natural
nail. I have observed very careful health standards, high quality,
eco-friendly products are used, and this little studio is cute!
There are interesting products to pamper yourself and buy as gifts.
Pedicures are my favorite (3 different types and prices are offered)
Manicures, too, of course! Studio is located in the large office
park across from Hickory House and the AAA office.
I really
like to support local businesses – why go to Perimeter and Buckhead??
